Renthal Chain Rings.

Published Jun 12, 2009 at 4:43
Renthall have landed on the MTB scene.

I know nothing about motorbikes. I'll prove it: I used to have a Honda Vison back in 1988 that flat out went 25mph. It even took 2 star petrol which back then was under 50p a liter. A full tank cost £2 and lasted me all week to Birmingham Wheels and back to skate Dickers Bowl.

What I do know about is Renthall, not a lot except that they are famous for their moto-x bars and sprockets..

Custom Ti Gear Box Bike

Published May 27, 2009 at 5:01
How to build your very own Ti Gear Box Bike by Alan Hawkes.

O.K where to start, the big question is why? Well why not? I've made downhill frames before using t45 steel so I thought if I was going to build a gearbox DH bike then I may as well do something special. There is probably no advantage in having titanium over alloy but if you're only going to do it once then why not make it different?

He can't seem to stay off the top spot of the alter and again he did not disappoint. I think next year they are going to have to change the name to the, "Lisboa Peat Town" race..

Northern Downhill Round 2 Hamsterley Forest - England

Published May 19, 2009 at 6:51
The track was taped late Friday hoping to get as much weather info as possible to provide you with the best track for the weather. It did cross our minds the amount of pedalling involved but at the same time we realized it is a bike race! Eventually we took the gamble with the weather and took the flat and rooty option from the start ramp. People seemed to complain about the dark, had they not been to Kidland 1 month earlier!?

MSC/Descent-Gear NPS Rd 2 at Llangollen on the 30th and 31st of May 2009.

Published May 19, 2009 at 3:41
Round two is going to be off the Richter Scale and will go down in the history books as the hardest track in the U.K ever to race on. Steve Parr and his trail fairies have officially set the bench mark and completed a master piece.

The course drops 1,000 feet and is super steep. Imagine the steepest and most technical sections from your favorite tracks, Champery, Glen Coe, Mynth Duu, Strathyre, Dunkeld, Goats Gully and Fort William Woods all in one track, without a break and no let up. The only pedaling you will do is three strokes off the start line and that is it.

Ok so round 1 of my first ever event organization of any kind on a brand new track! Ok I was frightened a lot could go wrong!

Kidland is as remote as British tracks come. Most riders questioned how did you find this place!!?? The answer being that Alex MacLennan of the Forestry Commission pointed us in this direction and we thank him for that.

Well finally the teachers banged their heads together and made them play nicely, now look at their work..
