A coffee table novel? Could be! You'll be spending hours flicking through this little number over the winter months drooling and dreaming of lands afar and the riding sessions you'll have. This will give you a good kick up the ass and get you planning that week or two away and give you real insight into the trails and surrounding areas of:

Austria
England
France
Germany
Czech Republic
Italy
Scandinavia
Spain
Portugal
Andorra
Scotland
Switzerland
Slovenia
Wales

There is a brief guide of the trails and how good they are for each discipline: XC, DH, Freeride, plifts, Plus the Pro's and Cons of the joint. Local bike shop, best bars and restaurants, internet cafe's (so you can log onto Pinkbike), Bike maps available, accommodation and a brief description of the resort/town.

Also in there is resort/track opening times, prices and contact details. The lowdown section also tells you what the locals do and don't e.g Chatel.
Locals Do: Book into the Passportes du Soleil at the start of July, a massive fun MTB event.
Locals Don't: Miss the last bus back from Pre-la-Joux as it's a long way back!

Don't miss: The huge 50mph zip ride across the valley at Pre-la-Joux.
Avoid: The mountain style course unless you have the minerals and skills to back this up.

they seem to have missed several countries with strong MTB scene. i am not talking about my country, we might still be too young in the field, but how about Poland for example?

Yes, but much riders train at 40-50 seconds trails, or going to Czech Republic, Germany etc.
