Halo Twin Rail Tyres

Halo Twin Rail Tyres have been buzzing around Chicksands and catching my eye. To be honest you can't miss them can you? A bit bright for my liking but for you lot in your tight jeans, under 18 they might be right up your street!
First off the pink ones are a little special, no not just the color I'm on about the thicker sidewalls. The pink rubber goes all the way around which is heavier than a conventional black sidewall. More weight then? Yes for starter, the benefit is less chance of pinch puncturing after casing the trails or coping down at the skate park.
Now back to the others:
These roll fast! The two continuous central rails (ridges) are in constant contact with the floor meaning zero rolling resistance so wicked for pumping between the trails or fun box especially when the pressure are right. Trails 40-50psi and Sk8 Park 60psi plus!
Not sure how the "Built-in Puncture Protection System reduces flats" works? Is it like a thick urethane bead like Mr.Tuffy back in the day? i.e imagine a piece of super tough rubber rim tape encased in the tyre itself to stop thorns or glass..? Or are they talking sidewalls and pinch puncturing, I don't know, do you?
Cornering under control is taken care of by a low profile stud tread pattern that takes care of lateral flex.
Loads of options so pay attention:
White or Lime Green £19.99rrp
24" - 715grams
26" - 750grams
Pink £19.99rrp
20" - 825grams
24" - 1070grams
26" - 1130grams
Black Dual Compound £22.49rrp
The center is a standard durometer, guessing around the 60-70a mark with the sides being slightly softer so again guessing 50-60a. This will give you fast rolling in a straight line and better grip in the corners. Think Maxxis 3c technology.
20" - 650grams
24" - 760grams
26" - 810grams

what is the point in coloured tyres yeh they look great when you first buy them and put them on
but they change.... you say the colour is awsome in a months time

I have slipped out just riding to work with these tyres in the rain a couple of times, they look awesome, perform great in the dry mind...
Don't think i'd like to be using these this time of the year at chicksands!! Aside from that the white ones look pretty sweet.
ive had these tyres for a while now and im never gunna buy them ever again they are complete um babba they dont grip to anything dont buy them!!!
Nice!
They are great tyres. and look awsome
look at my bike

The white ones are good for about 1 mile till they turn into a dirt brown tint and just look really old , they roll really good though !
the pink have the doubly ply walls, the rest are single... i believe chainreaction will post within europe
I had the pink ones for a while... YES they are a tad heavy but that puncture protection really works well! I had one flat with them and that was from a nail :/ obviouly not the BEST tires in the world but they are fast in dry conditions and are durable... After a while of sitting in my not-so-well sealed garage, they kinda hardened up like an old eraser and sorta dry rotted which I thought was odd...
I have a pink and a green one, they are good for street. Like it says, they roll fast, I normally run about 50-60psi. They grip well on dry concrete, but not so much when it is wet.
Also I have had pinch flats when using the pink tyre and a thick Maxxis tube...

I can not wait to see these on a build w/ the new Funn Components... a white frame w/ all neon would be "totally radical to the bone". I had to throw in a bit of '80's lingo with the comback of all things neon.
Ive had mine on for about a year now and they look good. http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/2621107/ (my bike not my picture)

Why is MNT biking turning rainbow? WHats next, a parade and slow pedal and waving down your local street?

they look good but f*ck me there shit there heavy and realy solid witch gives u like no grip untill u bed the in witch takes soooooooooo long
yea wen i read that i lost it. maybe if u wear riding ur bike maybe riding around close to pluto??? but yea i got a laugh out of this one. Also kinda skeptical about the dual compound. my though is that if u want a high performance street bike dont buy them if ur not worried about sliding out(itch does hurt that much at all) then y not. bottom line is if u want grip buy holly rollers. u want neon colours??buys these. u want both TOO BAD

Iv had them nd i can tell u that htey r shite, the puncture protection thingy dusnt work, they have almost no grip and both of mine exploded. Do the clever thing nd get sumthin else

i have these in the dual compound and they are really nice. they go up to 85 psi and i've only ever had one puncture due to a large thorn. really grippy and super fast rolling definately reccomend. the pink ones are quite heavy apparently 900 - 1000g +

have them on my street bike and they have lasted me throughout the season.
they roll so sweet and you can crank up the psi.
easy to get online 2.

ive got black ones, colored tyres are the worst idea ever coz they just get dirtty and dnt really eva stay clean
the bike shop near me speical orders anything u posibly ant most of the time....well they do for me any way

Iwould love a pair of white tires for my Blue and White Ironhorse...wish they were all white though liek the pink are all pink o.O still awesome tires though
it says trails 40-50psi but are they actually meant/able to handle trails? they look too slick to actually get any grip on something thats not smooth concrete.can someone help me out here? i like the idea of colors but i dont ride street... so would they be any good for trails?
I doubt that very much. They look like street or dirt jump use only. You'd be bold to take them on trail unless you have no intention on climbing anything damp let alone travelling through muddy/rocky terrain.
there grip is ok...ive slid out alot on them in skateparks, and they puncture easily "off-road"....prefer maxxis holy rollers. but these are worth the money. BUT PLEASE PEOPLE IM ADVISING YOU, DONT BUY THE GREENS, Its horrible after a few rides as they lose there shine
and very hard to easy to get dirty

i had these tires and absolutely loved them. they seemed like a soft compound almsot and i never had a problem gripping to any surface. excellent tire.

They remind me of the holy roller and hook worm. Its just so much rubber and way to heavy. You just dont need that much rubber, look at chase hawks tire or ruben alcantara. get like a larsen tt, there awesome

these look soooo sick !! i suppose there perfect if you just ride park/ street. when i buy my new street bike im gunna bang a couple of these beauties on.
maybe they look cool, but those are piece of shit boys. I had a green one and it bursted after 2 months. Don't buy them they're heavy as hell and they don't deserve to buy them.
