Chain Reaction Cycles 2009 Team Bikes

Posted: Mar 31, 2009

Nigel Page just said, "Well after a hectic week of dealing with UPS and customs and Dave and Jason working around the clock building all our bikes they are finally built and I have to say I have never seen better looking bikes". I think you might have to agree with him!

Check them out!

Four Up Duties

Four Up Duties

They look fantastic and most importantly very fast! Chain Reaction Cycles have done a great job of getting our graphics done this year to fit the frames, Clayton at Manitou had us some custom blue Dorado graphics made, Hope have made us the blingest matching team blue brakes with the riders names on the levers. The Mavic wheel sets just look so trick, the new Easton Havoc 750 bars are wide enough for the new school but with the same great shape of the older bars. The new Intense frames have come out just as we asked. Jeff Steber has made us the best bikes I think Intense have ever built. After riding for 2 days over the weekend Matt Simmonds said -"The new Intense EVO feels much lighter faster and with the new adjustability we can get the perfect set up on any course"

That has got to be seven grand at least?

That has got to be seven grand at least?

Matt Simmonds and Rhubarb were seen testing these at Moelfre on Sunday which is exactly where we will be next weekend (Easter) for the Reaction Moelfre DH Race

Good luck to the CRC Intense Team from everyone here at Pinkbike.com!

Stay Unclipped.

Si Paton.

Yup with the adjusted seat-tube and swingarm so the wheel doesn't grind on the frame and seat.

You ever Ride with this Fork??? Seriusly not, because the new Dorade is awesome to ride stable and light... You can not compare forks like Black,Minute and other of the cheap Series with Dorado, Travis or R7...
Think before write!!!!

flag DirtbagMatt (Mar 31, 2009 at 13:27)
I wasn't referring to the Dorado actually, talking about the Minute so neg on me there fine. However, don't you find it a bit disconcerting that a company's $2700 flagship fork is the only one in their lineup that you'd want to ride? It's ridiculous that they can't make a $900 fork that you'd want on your rig.

LOL MANI-POO.
With manitous' previous problems there is no way I'd pony up to buy the new dorado. NO WAY!

I've been running a Minute Elite 140 TA for over a year and it has no issues, way smoother and stiffer than a Float 32. The new forks are killer. The old ones did suck though...

why not all race MX/SX bikes run them??? if i could get a single crown 100 mm revers fork i would, because they are a tone lighter than reg forks...

I quite agree with you. As I was watching the picture I thought, "well, this looks pretty much like the V10 rear piece does it not?" But don't worry, some smart ass will surely prop us down because of what we are saying: I can see it coming.

I just wonder why ChainReaction Cycles is always running out of stuff. Not that I wouldn't advise other people to shop around first and compare prices, but they offer good value for money (I mean, when it is the case you can get the hold on what you are after).

The frame and fork alone cost 7 grand at retail price, that's got to be a five figure bike, good thing the team riders don't have to buy there own bikes...
