Giro, no I'm not on about your 90 bucks every two weeks for you jobless users. I'm on about Giro as in the helmet people, pronounced "Geero / Jeero".
Well news is they are now into the goggle market, check their latest offerings out...

Giro goggles are new to me but not to Giro. Word on the slopes is they have been knocking up goggles for the past few snow seasons.
Based originally on their “Score” snow model, they made some refinements that make these ideal for us downhillers. We all know getting a pair of goggles to sit right on your boat race (face) is key and with all the different sizes and shapes that lids come in these days from all the manufacturers, life can be hard.
That's why Giro have gone one step further than the guys at Fox/Oakley and added a hinge on those external side strap supports. Being hinged is the clever part and they swivel onto the side of your helmet for that perfect fit. Meaning the goggles can sit exactly on your nose and against your slap head.
I only run TLD Moto-X lids and know only to well, first hand infact that some goggles won't sit right in a wide open MX lid. You always find the MTB lids have a narrower opening so visa versa with the MX goggles. This is where you fussy people can be spot on with these Giro Score MTB Goggles.
-Colors: White or Matt Black frame with Clear 83% VLT or Grey 41% VLT lens option
-Lenses: True Sight technology eliminates visual distortions in the lenses that can cause objects to shift in view, meaning a clear, accurate vision in peripheral - areas as well as straight ahead! That's what corporate man says. I say you can see crystal clear outta them and you get tear-off posts and the anti-fog is second to none.
-As with all quality goggles these come with an Anti-slip silicone backed strap for added grip against the back of your helmet.
-After market lenses available: Clear or Grey and both come with posts and are anti-fog.
-Tear-offs? Yes of course, also available in packs of 10.
Giro Score MTB Goggle are £39.99srp and are exclusively available in the UK from Madison:

looks like a an intelligent goggle fixing system.
Looks like something I'd break. I wish the attachment points were more beefy, or like made of aluminum/aluminium or something that wouldn't break so easy. I'm thinking on a cold day, those would get dangerously brittle.
can anyone else say oakley crowbar, I CAN I CAN! althought I would much rather support giro as a company.
I'm so tired of the stupid commenters on this site. Any time I say something stupid/pointless purely for jokes, I get +10923 props. Every time I state a valid complaint/fact, I get -12938 props.
Nope, but it confuses me why people think that this doesn't add to the conversation when "ssik goggz" or "POD" does
Not sure what pistol2ne is thinking, "rather support giro as a company" than Oakley. What has Oakley done to you? Just thought that was a strange comment is all...whats the difference? Do you see Giro as the "little man" and Oakleys the "big corporation"?
Agreed, if you are too I guess. Was just saying, I'm not from either of their locals and would support both? I just find it strange when people single out brands like that. Like what you like I guess? Personally think Oakley makes a bloody great product and killer company to deal with.

so..is it just me.......or is Si Patton the new snake-oil salesman on Pinkbike? It seems he's on here every day. Are these reports just reprints of ad copy? Or propaganda from Descent gear.com?? How come these guys don't ever review anything that they think sucks? Make$ me wonder......hmmmm........
^^^ totally. Couldn't agree with you more.
And is his humour just as lame "on that side of the pond" as it is here?

i think he just tries to use a very steriotypical british way of talking because he knows that theres gna be a lot of guys from over the atlantic reading it, just his sense of humour I guess, its a very british thing, maybe too british, kinda why theres not many people find it funny, especially since tv is dominated with americanisms =\
I just think little britain is slightly sick, racist, and appeals to the IQ of a small cat. I guess it does sum up the vast majority of the unthinking public though =\

I think this Si Paton guy is retarded. He can barely put his sentences together. But the goggles are sick! More pictures, less talking.
I wasn't going to buy them - and then I saw that they came with a free goggle case!!!! Have to be mine!!
Actually i'm sure they're probably really good as I use the "Root" goggle when skiing and it's mint!
how can it suck...your buying their product...win win...just like coke and pepsi...who cares. its all product preferance.

Nice goggles, but i think Si, as awesome as his product knowledge and endorsments have been, needs to make better jokes and write better articles for pinkbike. Love your work nonetheless.
